Job Description
General Statement of Duties:
The Town of Nashville is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dependable individual to serve as our Pickleball Program Coordinator . This part-time role is essential to managing our growing pickleball community. Under the guidance of the Parks and Recreation leadership, you'll oversee weekly programming, and serve as a primary point of contact for participants. This role balances hands-on leadership such as setting up equipment and supervising on-site activities with administrative support. T his hands-on role includes driving materials to locations, supervising Recreation Aide staff and volunteers, and assisting with on-site setup and breakdown.Hours:
This position will have a set schedule Tuesday & Thursday from 5pm - 9pm. FLSA Statu s This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Develop and implement seasonal pickleball leagues, clinics, and open play sessions. Assist participants in developing and improving various pickleball skills. Teach the fundamental rules, techniques, and strategies of pickleball. Experience facilitating and/or officiating pickleball tournaments. Create schedules, coordinate facility usage, and ensure programs run smoothly. Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff, officials, and volunteers as needed. Serve as an on-site supervisor during weeknight activities, weekend tournaments, and other special events. Monitor equipment and inventory needs; ensure the courts are safe and well-maintained. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. Assist with evaluating programs and making recommendations for improvement. Basic knowledge of pickleball rules and techniques (formal training is not required). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate participants of all ages and backgrounds. Passion for sports and a desire to share that passion with others. Previous experience in coaching, teaching, or leading recreational activities is a plus but not required. Have both weeknight and weekend availability during pickleball seasons. Must be at least 18 years of age Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver's License First Aid and CPR certification preferred Position requires working flexible hours on weekends, evenings, and holidaysSimilar remote jobs
