is seeking a passionate and motivated Program Specialist to support our Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program (AP3) in Rowan County. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth, building community partnerships, and making a positive impact through education and prevention programming.

  • $45,000 annually About the Role The Program Specialist will help plan, implement, and evaluate adolescent pregnancy prevention programming for youth throughout Rowan County.
This position includes facilitating evidence-based curriculum, conducting outreach, collecting program data, and collaborating with schools and community partners to support healthy decision-making among adolescents. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation Facilitate evidence-based adolescent pregnancy prevention curriculum in schools and community settings Lead engaging group sessions focused on healthy relationships, self-esteem, and informed decision-making Monitor participation and maintain program fidelity Track attendance and program outcomes Community Outreach & Engagement Build and maintain partnerships with schools, agencies, and community organizations Represent Families First at community events, health fairs, and meetings Assist with outreach and educational materials Data & Reporting Collect and maintain accurate program and participant data Assist with reporting, surveys, and evaluation activities Administrative Support Coordinate schedules, logistics, and program supplies Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities Support continuous program improvement efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred Experience working with youth, health education, or prevention programs strongly preferred Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills Knowledge of adolescent development and prevention strategies Excellent organizational and data entry skills Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends Reliable transportation required Why Join Families First?
