Wesley Shelter Youth Services Coordinator Wesley Shelter Inc. is the domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking response agency in Wilson County. Wesley Shelter has been serving the Wilson community through its many programs since 1983.
Services include:
24-Hour Crisis Line, Domestic and Sexual Violence Response, The Edward Y.C. Thorne Safe House, Legal Services, Therapy, Children's Programs, Outreach Services, Community Education, Prevention Services, The Clothes Line and more.
Position Summary:

Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm The Youth Services Coordinator is a vital leadership role within the HEAL (Hope, Empowerment, Advocacy, and Love) Project. This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, quality assurance, and systems-level integration of services for child and youth victims (ages 0-17) of domestic and sexual violence, and their non-offending caregivers. The Youth Services Coordinator will work collaboratively with Wesley Shelter's internal team and external partners to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide program coordination for the HEAL Project to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
- Lead case conferencing and service planning meetings with internal staff and community partners.
- Coordinate youth-specific services, including educational support, mental health referrals, legal advocacy, and enrichment programming.
- Track and monitor client outcomes and program data in alignment with grant deliverables and performance measures.
- Provide supervision and support to the Child and Youth Case Manager/Advocate and Childcare Worker.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools, legal providers, medical and mental health professionals, and youth-serving organizations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case coordination and community meetings as needed.
- Ensure culturally responsive, inclusive, and trauma-informed practices across youth-focused services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Child Development, Education, or a related field required; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with children and youth in trauma-impacted settings.
- Experience coordinating community-based programming and working across systems (schools, DSS, healthcare).
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Must pass background checks and complete all required trainings.
- Must have a clean driving record.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
