The purpose of this position is to manage RCA's budget and financial operations, which includes program management responsibilities for grants and other non-appropriated funding. This position will assist with creating strategies to optimize RCA's budget and spending; monitor spending, provide financial analysis and input to facilitate decision making and reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures. This position also manages day-to-day budget, generates regular budget status reports, facilitates payroll paperwork and functions, and other business and operational duties in support of the Research and Creative Activity Office. The duty station is Fargo, ND. It is not a remote or hybrid position.
Work schedule:
40 hours/week (M-F regular hours 8am-5pm, summer/winter break hours 7:30am-4pm) Salary range: $70,000-$84,000/year plus excellent benefits! Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, or another related field. 3 years of relevant work experience in fiscal management, including budget development and analysis, and office administration. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing funding for new programs and/or initiatives. Demonstrated experience managing complex budgets and preparing budget reports. Demonstrated strategic analytical and decision-making skills. Data management, analysis, and reporting experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing effective working relationships. Ability to multi-task across many functions. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with fiscal management, office administration and/or operations in a university environment. Experience managing grants, contracts, and/or cooperative agreements. Experience working with Peoplesoft Enterprise applications.
