This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, promotes person-centered planning, and supports individuals in achieving their goals for independence, inclusion, and quality of life. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop, implement, and review individual service plans for residents with developmental disabilities. Supervise and train direct support staff to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all services provided and resident progress. Coordinate with other professionals, such as therapists, physicians, and case managers, to ensure that residents receive the most comprehensive and effective services. Advocate for the rights and needs of residents and ensure that they are receiving all appropriate services and support. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of programs and services for residents. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and laws related to the care of individuals with developmental disabilities. Program Coordination & Oversight Develop and oversee individualized service plans (ISPs) in collaboration with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure services align with person-centered planning principles. Monitor program quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate daily operations of residential, day, or community-based programs. Conduct regular program evaluations and implement improvements. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate records and documentation per state and federal guidelines. Ensure compliance with Medicaid waiver programs and licensing requirements. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and funding sources. Participate in audits and inspections. Advocacy & Community Engagement Advocate for individuals' rights and access to community resources. Build partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, employers, and social service agencies. Support community inclusion activities and vocational opportunities. Budget & Resource Management Assist in budget planning and monitoring. Manage program resources efficiently. Identify grant and funding opportunities when applicable. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, Special Education, Nursing, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience with Medicaid waiver services preferred. Knowledge of North Dakota DD policies and procedures preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of person-centered planning principles. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple cases effectively. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Required Skills & Competencies Willingness to learn and effectively use the Therap system and other documentation platforms Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Excellent organizational and time management skills High level of professionalism in conduct and communication Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Licensure & Requirements Valid North Dakota driver's license. Reliable transportation with insurance. Background check clearance per ND HHS requirements. CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Work Environment Combination of office and community. Travel within assigned counties may be required. Occasional evening meetings. Physical Requirements Ability to travel and conduct community visits. Ability to lift to 25 lbs occasionally. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Compensation & Benefits $45,000 - $50,000 per year (~$20-$25/hr.). Dental, vision insurance. Paid time off and holidays.
