The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Assists individuals in identifying and utilizing community resources and natural supports by working cooperatively with individuals, families, the oversight organization, state and/or federal agencies, and other service professionals. Manage and supervise multiple Shared Living Providers (SLP) who provide direct care to individuals served in Waiver programs. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. Maintains an accurate and thorough knowledge of current Waiver services, licensing regulations and agency policies and procedures. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Monitor program budgets and ensure financial sustainability. Ensures the integrity of all direct service billing in that the service delivered must have prior authorization, meet required service definitions, is consistent with goals and objectives in ISP, and is delivered before billing can occur. Reviews daily service records submitted by Shared Living Providers for each individual served to evaluate service delivery in relation to goals and objectives of the individual's plan and provides feedback to the Shared Living Providers, as needed. Ensures all electronic client records and other informational tracking systems remain current and accurate. Conducts and documents quality checks of service delivery for all individuals served based on frequency established by leadership, immediately reporting any concerns to supervisor. Manages and provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Shared Living Providers on their caseload. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance evaluations; addressing complaints, and resolving problems. The Program Manager makes important recommendations for placements Maintains reconciliation of hours and days worked by contractors compared to what is approved in the plan of care and keeps the individual and/or representative aware of any adjustments that may need to be made. Remains on-call for any after-hours emergency needs or crisis intervention for all Waiver individuals on caseload or per established after-hours on-call schedule. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals served, families, and staff within the agency. Ability to work with a variety of individuals regarding age, education, functionality, and with minimal direction. Ability to independently prioritize and plan work activities. Ability to problem-solve independently or in a group setting. Competence in instructional, oral, and written communication. Ability to present information and train Providers who have varying levels of knowledge/experience. Ability to foster quality in others. Strives to constantly improve processes and services. Knowledge of Therap, Word, and Excel.
