NorthStar is the only single sex, male after school program in Greater Omaha. NorthStar serves 3rd - 12th grade boys. The Adventure Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily execution, facilitation, and operational readiness of NorthStar Adventure programs. This individual ensures that courses, equipment, staff, and participants are fully prepared for high-quality, safe, and engaging adventure experiences. The Coordinator serves as the primary on-site leader during program delivery and plays a critical role in supporting staff, students, and program logistics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Delivery Lead the daily delivery of Adventure programs across all course areas, serving as the lead instructor and modeling high-quality programming for staff. Ensure courses, equipment, and program spaces are prepared and ready for use each day, including providing transportation of large assets such as bicycles to and from sites. Manage participant flow, group movement, and on-site program logistics during session Safety and Risk Management Assist Adventure Program Manager in implementing safety policies, procedures, and protocols. Oversee instructor safety and risk management practices. Maintain organization, tracking, and care of Adventure equipment and resources. Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Strong facilitation skills in experiential and adventure-based education. Ability to manage multiple groups, staff, and logistical needs simultaneously in dynamic outdoor environments. Demonstrated commitment to safety, organization, and high program quality. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students and staff. Ability to anticipate program needs and solve problems quickly in real time. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in equipment and course management. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Adventure Program Manager. Maintain driving skills , and excellent or acceptable MVR status.
Compensation & Benefits:
$22.00/ hour Health & Dental Insurance Health Savings Account Flex Spending Account Vision Insurance $25,000 Basic Life/AD&D Insurance Long-Term Disability Coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 403(b) Retirement Plan. Eleven days of annual paid time off (PTO) earned through the year. Ten paid holidays Voluntary Insurance Physical Requirements This position requires extensive time in outdoor and active environments including the rock wall, high ropes course, and cycling programs. Frequent standing, movement, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) is required. Hours may vary depending on program schedules and seasons.
