Resident Services Coordinator — Grant-Funded Position Do you have a passion for helping people and making a real difference in your community? The Dover Housing Authority is looking for a compassionate, driven Resident Services Coordinator to support low-income residents in our affordable housing developments. About This Position This is a grant-funded role supported by HUD's Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinator program. We are currently one year into an active 3-year grant cycle, providing strong near-term stability. Continued employment beyond the current grant period is contingent on the successful award of future HUD funding. An exciting and meaningful part of this role includes contributing to the reapplication process when the next Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is released, giving you a direct hand in securing the program's future and the community it serves. About the Role Under the supervision of the Resident Services Director, the Resident Services Coordinator assesses resident needs, connects residents to community resources, and helps low-income individuals and families maintain stable housing and improve their quality of life. Your work directly supports the DHA's mission, and has a lasting impact on the people we serve. What You'll Do Serve as liaison between property management and residents Assess resident needs and connect them with appropriate services and community resources Work with property staff, families, and community agencies to identify and address resident challenges before they reach crisis Assist residents with recertification packets, documentation, and reasonable accommodation requests Collaborate with the FSS Coordinator to improve resident self-sufficiency Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based service organizations Collect and maintain required program data (MRI, Excel); support HUD reporting for ROSS and FSS programs Support the ROSS grant reapplication process when the next NOFO is released, including data collection, documentation, and narrative contributions Help resolve neighbor conflicts and support a safe, stable community environment Participate in unit inspections, site walks, and offsite property visits Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and community events as required Provide front desk and administrative support as needed Education & Experience 4-year degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field; OR 2-4 years of experience in community development, social services, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience working with diverse populations strongly preferred Experience with children and families, seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or chronic mental illness is a plus Crisis intervention and mental health experience preferred Background in community assessments, conflict resolution, or de-escalation is a plus Skills & Abilities We're Looking For Familiarity with services and resources available in the Dover area Knowledge of federal and state entitlement programs and eligibility procedures Ability to build effective partnerships with community organizations and institutions Strong communication and facilitation skills Commitment to recognizing residents' knowledge and lived experience as a valuable resource Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Demonstrated ability to build trusting, confidential relationships Comfortable working in environments with diverse cultures and competing needs How to Apply Submit your resume in response to this posting.
