Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Champion for our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) service program. The MAT Service Program Champion will play a vital role in promoting awareness, facilitating access, and advocating for the effectiveness of MAT services for individuals with substance use disorders. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders and drive positive outcomes for program participants.
Responsibilities:
o Advocate for the importance and effectiveness of MAT services in addressing substance use disorders within the community. o Promote awareness of MAT services and their benefits through outreach efforts, community events, and educational campaigns. o Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to promote MAT as a viable treatment option for individuals with substance use disorders. o Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, treatment facilities, government agencies, and community organizations. o Facilitate collaboration and communication among stakeholders to improve access to MAT services and address barriers to care. o Serve as a liaison between program participants, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure seamless coordination of care and support services. o Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, community members, and stakeholders on the principles and practices of MAT. o Develop educational materials, presentations, and resources to support awareness and understanding of MAT services and their role in substance use disorder treatment. o Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to increase knowledge and capacity for delivering MAT services within the community. o Collect and analyze data on program participation, outcomes, and effectiveness to inform program evaluation and quality improvement efforts. o Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate program impact, successes, and challenges to stakeholders and funders. o Monitor program metrics and performance indicators to track progress towards program goals and objectives. o Advocate for policy changes and initiatives that support the expansion and sustainability of MAT services within the community. o Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to MAT and substance use disorder treatment and provide input and feedback as needed. Collaborate with advocacy groups, coalitions, and policymakers to advance initiatives aimed at improving access to MAT services and reducing stigma associated with substance use disorders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, social work, psychology, or related field preferred. Knowledge of substance use disorders, addiction treatment modalities, and the principles of harm reduction. Experience working in community health, public health, or healthcare advocacy preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to promoting health equity and addressing social determinants of health. Familiarity with data collection and analysis techniques preferred. Passion for advocating for the needs of individuals with substance use disorders and promote.
