Job Description Join our Global Integrated Engineering (GIE) team as a Senior Program Manager and lead industrialization programs that directly impact patient care across our Specimen Management Business Unit. In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate multi-million dollar CAPEX programs, drive cross-functional excellence, and ensure every project exceeds customer expectations through focused execution and strategic alignment. Link cross-functional teams, engineering excellence, and business strategy. You'll partner with diverse collaborators across the organization, ensuring every project aligns perfectly with both platform objectives and broader business goals. Apply standardized program management processes and phase-gate frameworks to ensure every deliverable is completed, approved, and advancing the program lifecycle. Your structured approach will be the foundation that enables on-time, on-budget delivery across the board. You'll have direct accountability for program success—from financial performance to resource management to scope delivery .
Responsibilities:
Strategic Program Leadership:
Spearhead end-to-end industrialization CAPEX programs spanning capacity expansion, architecture evolution, and new product development (NPD)—all aligned to business priorities and patient impact
Focused Execution Excellence:
Drive rigorous planning through standardized project charters, integrated schedules, comprehensive budgets, and optimized resource allocation plans
Phase-Gate Mastery:
Apply robust governance frameworks, proactively closing action items ahead of critical reviews to enable timely, high-quality decision-making
Data-Driven Performance Management:
Leverage benchmarks, performance metrics, and operational insights to monitor progress, rapidly course-correct, and ensure delivery of measurable outcomes
Executive-Level Stakeholder Engagement:
Lead senior cross-functional program reviews to drive alignment, resolve complex trade-offs, and support strategic investment recommendations
Matrix Organization Influence:
Navigate and influence senior partners across engineering, manufacturing, finance, procurement, and quality—without direct authority—operating effectively within a global matrix structure
Clear Communication:
Lead stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle with clear, transparent, and timely communication that builds trust and alignment
Cross-Functional Integration:
Drive seamless collaboration to ensure NPD and CAPEX initiatives work in perfect harmony
Proactive Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks before they impact program outcomes
Financial Stewardship:
Take full accountability for planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, ensuring every capital investment is optimized for maximum return
Executive Reporting:
Communicate program status, risks, milestones, and strategic insights to functional leadership and executive management, enabling informed decision-making at the highest levels
Change Control Rigor:
Lead scope, schedule, and cost changes through rigorous change control processes, maintaining stakeholder alignment throughout
Strategic Presentations:
Prepare and deliver compelling program updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, achievements, and continuous improvement opportunities
Continuous Improvement Champion:
Conduct thorough post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices, driving ongoing enhancement across DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and CAPEX initiatives
Knowledge Sharing Leadership:
Lead the dissemination of best practices across the organization to strengthen industrialization capabilities and capital execution excellence
Innovation Adoption:
Evaluate and implement emerging project management tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance industrialization effectiveness and optimize CAPEX investments
Technology Integration:
Support the seamless integration of innovative technologies and processes into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and smooth implementation ​Required Qual ifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred). Minimum ten (10) years of dynamically responsible engineering and leadership experience, with a consistent track record in capital project and program management. Demonstrated Lean manufacturing experience Ability to operate effectively in multicultural, global environments; willingness to travel internationally up to 30%

Strong executive communication, facilitation, and decision-shaping skills Enterprise-minded, customer-focused leader who thrives in complex, fast-changing environments Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional programs and influence senior collaborators without direct authority Demonstrated success driving clarity through ambiguity, handling conflict constructively, and delivering results in global matrix organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
