Analyst Trainee Print Apply Analyst Trainee Salary $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 Annually Location 132 Jerseyville Avenue Freehold, New Jersey 07728 Job Type Full-Time Job Number 2026-10 Department Prosecutor's Office Opening Date 03/16/2026 Closing Date Continuous Description Benefits Description Program Assistant (Analyst Trainee) for Diversion & Deflection Programs The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is seeking a full-time Program Assistant (Analyst Trainee) of Diversion & Deflection Programs to support several initiatives, including Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, the Alternative Responses to Reduce Instances of Violence and Escalation (ARRIVE) Together Program, ARRIVE Link 2 Care Referral and Follow-up Program, ARRIVE Critical Incident Program, the ReStart Diversion Program, the Recovery Diversion Program (RDP), the Resiliency Police Officer (RPO) Program, Operation Hope in Monmouth (OHIM), and Operation Helping Hand (OHH). The Program Assistant will report to the Assistant Prosecutor and Captain assigned to these initiatives. Examples of Duties Program Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of general administrative and program support tasks, including:
- Reviewing, interpreting, and evaluating relevant data for the programs and grants;
- Collecting and compiling relevant data;
- Preparing charts and data for analytic studies;
- Reviewing applications, documents, memoranda of understanding, and schedules to ensure compliance;
- Responding to communications in a prompt, professional, and timely manner;
- Identifying problems and recommending solutions;
- Maintaining records and files;
- Preparing clear and accurate reports of your findings, conclusions, and recommendations; and
- Working cooperatively with supervisory staff, team members, and community agencies. The Program Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of specific administrative and program support tasks as well, including:
- Scheduling and organizing shifts, speakers, trainings, events, and meetings with police departments and community partners;
- Inputting and maintaining data collection charts as required by various grants and the Prosecutor's Office;
- Requesting status updates and follow-ups from community partners;
- Promoting and expanding initiatives within the community;
- Organizing and ordering supplies and promotional materials for outreach and engagement;
- Participating in grant and best-practice meetings;
- Ensuring that memoranda of understanding are executed and maintained;
- Preparing and submitting quarterly grant reports;
- Overseeing general record-keeping;
- Coordinating RPO trainings, CIT trainings, and ongoing training for ARRIVE Officers;
- Assisting with outreach events, supply, outreach, training, and apparel management under the grant; and
- Serving as a liaison to local police departments and community partner agencies. Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Excellence in public speaking and communication
- Strength as a writer and being detail-oriented
- Professional conduct in all settings
- Possession of a valid NJ driver's license (countywide travel required)

Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Four years of professional experience working in the field of substance use, social work, mental health, and/or community outreach
