Job Description

Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Outpatient Services Department within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator is to function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Outpatient Services and TMS program. Primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff and oversight of treatment services for adolescents/ adults and direct treatment services via TMS in an outpatient setting. Will ensure compliance with all regulations. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction, group coverage, and clinical updates. Provides staff with direction regarding consumer/patient intervention through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences. Develops programming to ensure integration of Evidence Based Best Practices. Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that respects and enhances the individual, their expressed choices and preferences, and that enhances the positive self image of consumer/patients and staff. Completes Individualized Recovery Plans by tracker due date and obtains all necessary signatures on Recovery Plan by the Recovery Plan due date. Maintains appropriate consumer/patient records as mandated by University Behavioral Health Care policy. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all consumers, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a related mental health discipline plus four (4) years of post-master's mental health experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk throughout the day, stand for extended periods of time, and focus on assigned tasks in a hectic noisy environment. Operate TMS machine - moving helmet and adjusting machine. Lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Varied work settings include office and community setting. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Handles emergency or crisis situations. May be exposed to clients exhibiting assaultive or aggressive behaviors. Quiet to moderately loud office setting.
