Functions as a point person for management and Direct Support Professionals. Assists with staff training and administrative responsibilities. Provides direct service coverage as appropriate and needed. Responsibilities
COMPLIANCE
Oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the day habilitation program, including ensuring (a) the safety of the individuals in the program, (b) the enforcement of all regulations and standards as mandated by NJ DDD and (c) the enforcement of all agency policies and program procedures Provides oversight in assuring that all required documents pertaining to the individuals in the program are up-to-date, properly filed and submitted on time to the appropriate agencies Reports Unusual Incidents in accordance with policy and procedures All employees are required to cooperate with the licensee and Department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation STAFF Provides programmatic support, guidance and supervision to the staff. This includes training, performance evaluation and disciplinary action. and program participants and is responsible for the delegation of responsibilities necessary to effectively implement the program. Supervise the Day Program Assistant Manager(s) and provide support to the Community Center Day Program as needed. Delegates responsibilities necessary to effectively implement the program Assures that all staff in the adult program meet or exceed DDD requirements, that staff obtain all required trainings within specified and required timelines and that all documents pertaining to staff are up-to-date and properly filed. Participates in new staff interviews CLIENTS Facilitates family and community involvement, as appropriate Provides instruction for skill acquisition in all domains necessary for quality of life including domestic living skills, leisure skills, vocational skills, safety, social skills and community navigation Assists in the development and evaluation of Individual Support Plans Encourages individuals served to participate in community activities Implements Individual & Behavior Support Plans
OPERATIONS
Manages program operations, including the financial, medical, business and safety aspects of the program Possesses a thorough knowledge of REED Next Policies and Procedures, and the REED Autism Services Employee Handbook Coordinates transportation for daily outings and across multiple program sites as appropriate and needed Assures that all physical facilities are hazard-free and that all vehicles are properly maintained Assures that emergency evacuation procedures are posted and understood, and that all drills are conducted and documented according to regulation Manages day-to-day scheduling, documentation and approvals for health record and billing software Follows all protocols, program and schedules as indicated by the Clinical Team Administers medications All other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Education and Training :
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Participate and pass Pre-Employment, In-Service and Annual Training requirements of
NJ DDD & REED
Next.
Certification and Licensure :
State approved medication administration curriculums. Pass CPR & First Aid. Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record is in compliance with organization's driving policy. The requirements for checks of criminal background, the central registry, the child abuse registry, and drug testing in accordance with NJ DDD State & REED Next requirements.
Skills :
Strong communication skills, both written and oral are required. Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English. A skill set that includes the ability to interface in a professional manner with staff, parents, community partners, and other stakeholders. Must demonstrate an understanding of adult rights and self-determination and assure that REED Next's program participants are afforded these rights
Experience:
Three years of administrative/supervisory experience in department specific services to adults with developmental disabilities.

Yearly pay Application Question(s): Do you have certification/licensure for state approved medication administration curriculums? Do you have experience working with Adults with Autism/IDD? If so for how long? How many years of supervisory experience do you have working in a Day Program for Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Do you have a valid, unrestricted driver's license? Do you have a clean driving record? If you are the successful candidate, can you commit to attending 2 weeks training held in-person in Franklin Lakes, NJ at the start of your employment? The training will be Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm for your first 2 weeks of employment.
