Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC , a Chenega Professional Services' company, is looking for a Child/Youth Program Coordinator to support youth instructional programs in support of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Army National Guard (ARNG) Child and Youth Services (CYS) in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the District of Columbia. The
ARNG CYS
provides academic enrichment, and educational programming, initiatives and outreach to ARNG parents and school-aged youth. The ideal candidate brings experience in lesson planning, student engagement, and education program delivery for school-aged youth. Responsibilities Plan and deliver educational youth curriculum and events to ARNG military youth and families. Develop and adapt lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning experiences aligned with youth learning needs. Design marketing materials and publications, complete program-specific reports, and successfully convey information in both verbal and written formats. Ensure youth events being provided align with learning objectives and meet the needs of the military population(s) being served and align with established national metrics of performance. Actively work to recruit, train and manage a state-level volunteer team, as well as build local and state-level partnerships with youth service programs and organizations. Facilitate both large and small group learning events, including workshops, camps, and academic-focused activities. Analyze statistical data, evaluate program effectiveness and brief trend analysis based on compiled data. Qualifications Ability to work onsite in Latham, NY. Telework is not permitted Bachelor's Degree. Experience designing and implementing lesson plans, curricula, or student-centered programming. A combination of post-secondary education and experience with direct youth educational programming can be considered commensurate with a Bachelor's degree. Computer literate and proficient in preparing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, as well as ability to create instructional and presentation materials. Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience working with school-aged children or youth in an educational setting (K-12, after-school programs, camps, etc.). Military experience or direct civilian experience in a military organization is a plus. Good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail. Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
