Job Description

The Program Support Specialist facilitates effective patient care through a combination of administrative support, medical provider and counselor support, and direct patient support duties. This position serves a critical role as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Program Support Specialist works closely with patients and family members, conducts outreach to referral sources, and liaises with community resources and referral sources. As part of the essential functions of this role, the
Program Support Specialist:
Serves as supplemental administrative support coverage for the mental health and substance use programs, both assisting patients presenting for appointments and managing incoming telephone calls Receives, processes, and triages all patient intakes and referrals for Mental Health and Substance Use treatment from within the agency as well as outside referrals Works closely with program directors to manage high-risk patients that align with program standards and requirements. Accurately schedules intake appointments Provides telephone outreach and other brief interventions to enhance patient motivation for treatment and show rate for scheduled appointments Qualified candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in Behavioral Health program/services providing direct contact care or patient-facing administrative support; experience working with diverse populations, including but not limited to people with mental health and/or substance use concerns and individuals who are racial/ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ+, and individuals living with HIV; associates degree, CASAC, CASAC-T, CRPA or CRPA-P and working knowledge of electronic medical records software preferred; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential Job type: Full-time; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Education/Experience:
Minimum of two years (2) experience in Behavioral health program/services providing direct care or supportive services; experience with diverse patient populations; Associate degree, CASAC, CASAC-T, CRPA or CRPA-P and working knowledge of electronic medical records software preferred This position is posted with a salary range. The actual rate of pay offered will be based on a variety of individualized factors, including but not limited to a candidate's skills, relevant experience, educational background, internal equity, and market considerations.
