Job Description

The Gloria J. Parks Community Center is looking for a Senior Program Coordinator for 20 hours per week at $18.00/hour. If you love creating joyful moments, building community, and turning everyday activities into unforgettable experiences, this role is for you. The Senior Program Coordinator is the heartbeat Gloria J. Parks Community Center's Senior Program — the person who transforms ideas into vibrant programs, brings people together, and makes our space feel alive. You'll lead a dynamic team, dream up creative programming, and champion a culture where older adults feel energized, connected, and celebrated.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build a lively calendar of classes, events, and activities that keep participants smiling, learning, and coming back for more. Introduce fresh ideas — from themed socials to creative arts to wellness challenges — that make the program feel exciting and relevant. Plan special events and field trips that turn ordinary days into adventures. Oversee daily program flow so activities start on time, spaces feel welcoming, and everyone knows what's happening. Use participant feedback to keep programming fun, inclusive, and ever‑evolving. Supervise program staff, instructors, and volunteers; provide coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback. Build a team culture rooted in collaboration, dignity, and genuine care. Manage reporting, attendance, and compliance with ease and accuracy.
