Job Description

The Institute for Rural Vitality seeks a Program Administrator to provide assistance and support within its Mohawk Valley Empowers grant. The position is responsible for administration, delivery, and implementation of services across a multi-million-dollar economic development grant portfolio. The intent of the program is to engage individuals in the AgriBuisness Microcredentials for the purpose of work force development and providing skilled employees in agriculture in New York's Mohawk Valley and beyond. This position will also support the Value-Added Food Product Program, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs develop value-added products from concept to launch.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in agricultural business management, business administration or related program. Familiarity with SUNY Cobleskill's and the Institute for Rural Vitality's mission, vision and programming. Strong organization skills. Experience with successfully collaborating and managing vendor and participant relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook for email management Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work within a team successfully Preferred Qualifications Experience in grant administration, writing and budget management preferred. Project management skills preferred. Experience with event planning preferred. Experience with customer service preferred. Understanding and capacity to network within New York's agricultural and food sector is preferred. Advanced degree in communications, marketing, or management is preferred.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
