Job Description

Day Services Specialist Queens Centers for Progress - Jamaica, Queens, NY Queens Centers for Progress is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing person-centered supports and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Day Services Specialist to join our Day Program team in Jamaica, Queens.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Position Summary The Day Services Specialist facilitates day habilitation programming that promotes respect, safety, personal growth, and meaningful engagement for both individuals receiving services and staff members. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Staff Action Plans for assigned individuals Conduct team meetings to review and discuss individual service plans Complete monthly review notes summarizing individuals' progress and responses to plans Organize assigned groups and implement individualized day service plans Serve as a liaison between families, care managers, and residential providers Support a positive, person-centered environment that encourages independence and community involvement.
Qualifications:
