Job Title :
Assistant Program Manager (Residential) - Full-time~ Jobs available in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Nassau County Long Island ~ : The Program Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the residence, providing a home environment for the people we support and to develop their independence and community integration. This position ensures the protective oversight of all individual we support, staff development, fiscal and facility management needs. The Program Manager is expected to effectively provide leadership to staff in implementing their responsibilities, and advocacy and support to the individuals and their families. The Program Manager is responsible for all documentation maintained in the residence and required by the agency, and authorized to approve expenditures up to $100.
RESPONSIBILITIES
❖ Ensures that residence meets 12 performance metrics (please refer to page 4) established by IRI as the measuring criteria of quality services and successful survey outcomes. ❖ Provides supervision to Assistant. Manager, Medical Care Worker, Direct Support Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals including hiring, training, supervising, regular staff meetings, weekly schedules, on-going development and performance evaluations. ❖ Participate in all ISP/IDT meetings, both at the residence and day program. Develops Plans of Protective Oversight for the residence and each individual we support. Review ISPs, Res Hab Plans, goals and plans on a regular basis for accuracy. Submit an ISP addendum to MSC for all significant changes. Ensure that IDT meetings are held at least annually. ❖ Develop a fire safety plan, provide training to staff, schedule fire drills and review documentation, amending Plans of Corrective Oversight and/or fire safety plan as appropriate. ❖ Maintain accounts for the individual's we support, personal allowance. Responsible for submitting the personal allowance request forms with appropriate receipts to the Program Coordinator on Mondays by 9:00 am. ❖ Review Assistant Manager Checklist on a weekly basis, verifying that information is accurate. ❖ Review all documentation personally on at least a monthly basis, making recommendations to Assistant Manager for any deficiencies. ❖ Submit a monthly report to Coordinator, including a quality assurance checklist verifying that documentation has been reviewed, a walk through of physical plant, vehicle checklist, document observations of active treatment and staff to the individual interaction. ❖ Report all incidents to immediate supervisor verbally. Review all incident reports for accuracy prior to submission. Provide all follow-up documentation requested for IRC to Program Coordinator as soon as it is complete and in time for scheduled IRC meetings. Conduct investigations as assigned by supervisor. ❖ Submit required documentation to Human Rights Committee on an annual or as needed basis. ❖ Maintain IRI property in safe, clean and working order. Submit Work Order requests for all physical plant issues, as well as purchase requests for supplies needed, etc. ❖ Manage petty cash. ❖ Responsible for submitting Monday submission to Residential Dept by 10:00 AM or to fiscal department. ❖ Provide hands on training and supervision to staff in all areas of Daily Living Skills, but not limited to self care skills, meal preparation, house hold chores, money management, travel training and any other people's skills needed. ❖ Monitor daily data collection forms, and combined billing with sheets to ensure 22 or more billing days per month ❖ Responsible for managing, the van according to Fleet Policy ❖ Responsible for ensuring staff attend all scheduled training on time and when scheduled ❖ Other duties as assigned.
