Program Coordinator Garden City, NY Onsite Position Overview Play a role in mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to strengthening and supporting individuals, families, and communities facing life challenges. As Mental Health Program Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a children's behavioral health and family support program, ensuring high-quality, accessible care for children and families. In this role, you will oversee staff performance and service delivery, support and develop a multidisciplinary team, and drive program effectiveness through strong operational management. Partnering with internal leadership and external stakeholders, you will ensure compliance with state requirements, strengthen service capacity, and advance the organization's mission to improve children's mental health outcomes. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the organization's programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery Lead recruitment efforts by screening and interviewing candidates to build a dedicated, mission-driven team supporting children's mental health Manage staff assignments and service capacity to ensure timely, effective support for children and families Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development to strengthen team performance Track and maintain all required state data and reporting metrics Support state reporting requirements and participate in audits Monitor program data, ensure compliance with state regulations, and coordinate with external stakeholders Represent the program in state meetings and collaborate with internal and external partners to expand access to care Qualifications Demonstrated commitment to supporting children and families Master's degree required, along with active licensure (LMSW, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy) Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the human services field Strong leadership and organizational capabilities Prior supervisory experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Compensation Salary:
