Housing Specialist

Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Housing Specialist to join our team. This position involves a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, with some flexibility in scheduling. Candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid New York State driver's license. The Housing Specialist is responsible for providing support services to help unhoused individuals secure and maintain safe, affordable housing. Duties include meeting with program participants in their homes, collaborating with landlords as well as SOS or ACT teams, advocating on behalf of clients, and maintaining accurate consumer records. The role also involves assisting referred participants with apartment searches throughout Albany and Schenectady Counties. The ideal Housing Specialist candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple ongoing tasks, and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
