Job Description Position Summary:
The Gananda Central School District is seeking a Summer Program Coordinator to oversee all K-8 summer programming, including the Middle School Summer Academy, K-4 Summer Academy, Kindercamp, and k-12 various enrichment programs. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all summer programs across elementary and secondary levels (including enrichment programs serving high school students) Manage grant coordination, compliance, and reporting Collaborate and communicate effectively with the transportation department Supervise and support staff, including teachers, teaching assistants, and nursing personnel Develop and maintain daily schedules, staffing plans, and overall program logistics Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate, up-to-date records Ensure programs operate efficiently and align with district expectations Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, students, and families Address daily operational issues and maintain a safe, supportive, and positive program environment
Program Highlights:
Multiple programs running July 6 - August 7 (Mon-Thurs, with some variations) Includes academic programs (K-8), Kindercamp, and enrichment offerings (Art, Science, Coding, Fitness, Musical Theatre, Library) Morning and afternoon sessions, with varying staff schedules
Job Qualifications Qualifications:
NYS teaching or administrative certification preferred Experience in summer school or program coordination Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Job Category Administrative Job Location District Wide
