This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in public safety and community well-being. As the Program Coordinator, you will oversee our Impaired Driver and Victim Impact Panel Programs. You will act as an intermediary between students, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the Onondaga County District Attorney's office and the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). You will be responsible for program development, coordinating educational initiatives, manage volunteers, and foster partnerships within the community. Your leadership will help shape impactful strategies that reduce impaired driving incidents and support recovery and prevention efforts. Duties Develop, implement, and evaluate impaired driver programs aimed at education, prevention, and rehabilitation. Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, and engagement to ensure program success. Keep up to date records of all students registered for the Impaired Drivers Program and Victim Impact Panel Program. Schedule classes through the DMV and the Onondaga County DA's office. Collect data on program outcomes, track participation metrics, and prepare reports for program regulators. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, healthcare providers, social service organizations, and community groups to strengthen program impact. Oversee administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining detailed records. Qualifications Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams within community programs or social services. Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently. Background in program development, project management, or public health initiatives related to addiction counseling or social work. Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure program effectiveness. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaborative relationships. Excellent organizational skills with administrative experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
