Provide services and activities for first generation, low-income as well as underrepresented students in preparation for success in graduate school. McNair is a grant funded program that works with eligible students from all disciplines, engages them in high-quality research and prepares them for baccalaureate attainment, enrollment in graduate studies and attainment of masters and/or doctoral degrees. Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree with three (3+) plus years of experience working with student population. Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of program and its overall missions Programming initiatives Strong writing and verbal communications skills Problem-solving and decision-making skills Teamwork Positive attitude Responsibilities:
Provide counseling to program participants to assess need and monitor growth of their academic and personal objectives as well as maintain program goals. Coordinate and execute programming activities and workshops during the academic year and summer session to ensure compliance with program objectives. Develop a calendar of McNair events that incorporate campus community and like programs to contribute to the growth and development of program participants. Maintain scholar records as well as streamline record keeping processes as related to program objectives. Provide objective-based reports and provide data for director and USDE for reporting purposes (i.e. APR). Assist with the identification, recruitment, and selection of new cohort annually About Syracuse University:
