Provider Services Specialist

Provider Services Specialist (CACFP) Child Care Solutions is a not-for-profit organization serving Onondaga and Cayuga Counties, NY. Since 1975, we have supported families, childcare providers, employers, and community leaders by strengthening access to high-quality childcare.

Position Summary:

The Provider Services Specialist supports family child care providers through the implementation of the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This role focuses on provider recruitment, training, compliance monitoring, and ongoing technical assistance to strengthen the quality and stability of home-based child care.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement CACFP, including provider recruitment, training, monitoring visits, and claims processing Ensure compliance with CACFP regulations and documentation requirements Provide ongoing support to providers via phone, email, written communication, and in-person visits Maintain accurate provider data in the Minute Menu database Present information sessions and trainings for providers and prospective providers Participate in outreach and community engagement activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family child care or CACFP-participating programs Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Ability to work effectively with diverse communities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems

Schedule:

Flexible schedule required; some evening and occasional weekend hours Local travel within Onondaga and Cayuga Counties required Why Join Us?
