As a Program Specialist within Hamilton County's Housing, Economic, and Community Development Division, you will play a key role in advancing programs and initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods, expand housing opportunities, and support community development throughout Hamilton County. This position coordinates and supports the administration of federally funded and locally administered programs, including grants, contracts, and community initiatives. The Program Specialist monitors program activities, assists with compliance requirements, analyzes program information, provides technical assistance to stakeholders, and contributes to the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures. The position works collaboratively with department leadership, community partners, subrecipients, and stakeholders to support effective program implementation and achievement of departmental objectives
Summary of Job Duties:
Manages and coordinates program operations, grants, contracts, funding processes, and special initiatives by monitoring project activities, maintaining compliance and documentation, supporting program implementation, resolving operational issues, and recommending process improvements to achieve organizational objectives. Collects, compiles, reviews, and analyzes program performance data to support program administration, planning activities, and reporting requirements. Monitors assigned program activities and reviews supporting documentation to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, grant requirements, contracts, policies, and procedures. Serves as a point of contact for routine program-related inquiries and assists stakeholders in understanding applicable program requirements and expectations
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; and Four (4) years of related experience; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
