Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day oversight and leadership of Beyond the Classroom functions within assigned school. Serves as a liaison between the school and Beech Acres Parenting Center (BAPC) to ensure the collaborative service delivery and support for children, parents and families. Provides oversight and coordination of service connection and delivery for families to ensure continuity of care. Consistently engages families in a welcoming and inclusive manner to build ongoing involvement. Supports the day-to-day relationship with key school partners and utilizes best-in-class customer service delivery to ensure customer needs are met. Escalates customer concerns to supervisor, as needed. Leads team huddles to facilitate coordination of common caseloads. Has full working knowledge of data-based systems such as NextGen and RedCap for entry, report management and compliance review in alignment to company standards. Consistently reviewing documentation of school-based team, reviewing in huddles, and reporting to providers and Clinical Manager weekly key data points. Aid and support the Clinical Manager where needed for performance management support of the onsite staff members. Provides needs assessments using population health methodology for the entire school population. Connects parents, children and families to resources, internal to BAPC or external, based on what has been discovered during the needs assessment process. Ensures any referral connections are made successfully and provides routine check-ins and family outreach to identify progress and any additional needs. Consistently meets completion of needs assessments to initiate first parent contact and drive involvement in services. Serves as first point of contact for triage of non-clinical issues within school, with parents, school administrators, etc. In schools where The Character Effect is not present: provides coordination and leadership of school events, programming, etc. to encourage family involvement and outreach. In schools where The Character Effect is present: provides support in TCE led school events, programming, etc. to encourage family involvement and outreach. Attends and engages in school administration meetings (and other meetings, as appropriate), participates and supports school efforts and initiatives. Maintain a Utilization requirement of billable hours documented in the proper electronic record system that includes; assists students in crisis support services, leading groups, attending meetings to help coordination of care for a student, conversations with parent/ guardian about service connection, etc. Coordinates and develops communication materials that meet the needs of school, parents and families. Works in close collaboration with Vice President of Effective School Solutions, Director of Clinical Intervention and BtC Clinical Manager to manage relationships with school administration and key leaders. Reviews documentation according to ODMHAS, COA and Beech Acres standards. This includes but is not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, Ohio Scales, fee agreements, mental health assessment updating, and discharge paperwork. Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures. This role is school based in nature and may require work outside of standard business hours to support family events, school events, etc. Travel to BAPC campuses and within the community is required. May be required to Facilitate prevention groups, in alignment with the school requirements. Complete OCPSA certification and keep licensure up to date. May be required to coordinate with Clinical Manager to schedule appointments for Therapists and Therapeutic Service Providers in order to meet UR requirement. Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a Social Services/Human Services area of study + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience meeting the needs of kids and/or families. Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred. Knowledge of mental health, community resources engagement and/or population health is preferred. Previous experience in a school-based services setting is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Outstanding ability to build and foster trusting relationships. Strong networker with the ability to engage diverse audiences and meet families where they are. Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work collaboratively and to engage and motivate teams towards achievement of goals and targets.
