But for many of our friends and neighbors, food insecurity creates barriers that impact their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank has operated as a critical community asset committed to fighting food insecurity and helping families as they navigate difficult decisions related to hunger and other struggles that arise out of situational or generational poverty. The Foodbank is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to lead a collaborative network that empowers people to experience healthy and hunger-free lives.
