Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION
:
SUMMER ASSISTANT GATEWAY CLASSIFICATION
: hourly, Temporary, Summer, Grade I-A, Part-time (12-20 hrs/wk), Non-Exempt
BASIC FUNCTION
: Assist the Gateway Youth Programs and ACES staff during the operation of summer programming.
SUPERVISOR
: Gateway Support Services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Carry forth the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the agency. 2. Demonstrate and support core values of the agency 3. Under the daily direction of the Gateway Youth Programs staff, assist with operations of the summer program working with both youth and parents 4. Assure the safety of all youth by supervision of individual youth at all times. 5. Ensure a safe, healthy, sanitary and organized environment 6. Facilitate a reading group with activities for young students 7. Track laps of runners during programming 8. Track group data and attendance in excel spreadsheets 9. Assist ACES Manager with summer independent program study as needed. 10. Provide assistance with field trips, special events, groups, photo needs as needed 11. Provide office assistance as requested for items including but not limited to certificates, photos and photo boards. 12. Complete all required reports on time 13. Participate in meetings as needed. 14. Communicate all necessary information to the appropriate staff and document incidents as needed 15. Attend all trainings required by the agency. 16. Maintain confidentiality in all areas for families and staff. 17. Adhere to all agency and program policies. 18. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
: 1.
Work Experience preferred:
Experience working with youth 2.
Education and Training:
High School Diploma or GED. 3.
Special Conditions:
A valid driver's license and a driving history acceptable to agency insurer.
