Job Description
To serve as a peer mentor to students in the Summer Clark Inclusive Scholar program.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Communication Access & Opportunity Professionalism Participate in all assigned Clark Inclusive Scholar program training for independent living skills. Serve as a mentor to one Clark Inclusive Scholar student by being accessible through phone/email to meet and discuss Clark Inclusive Scholar program transition. Commit to developing a positive, supportive relationship with Clark Inclusive Scholar program advisors and faculty. Willing to help students with independent living skills while they are living on Main Campus. If possible, to stay in the dorms with the students. Follow guidelines/rules in the Community Living Standards (if applicable) and the Student Code of Conduct. Must have/maintain a 2.5 Cumulative GPA. Cannot currently be on Residential, Academic, or University Conduct Probation. Be a full-time undergraduate student or graduate student. Must understand and be able to articulate the adjustments to college life that students in the Clark Inclusive Scholar program may face. Must be able to work well with people of diverse beliefs, backgrounds, and personalities; demonstrate high ethical standards and strong character; and serve as a role model/positive example of a BGSU student. Must have worked as a Clark Program Peer Mentor previously.
