Salary Range:
$81,388 - $103,375 Dependent on experience and education
Excellent Benefits Package Consisting of:

General Description:
Works collaboratively with the Educational Director and/or Program Director to ensure Learning Center and specialized programs operate with integrity, efficiency, and fidelity to mission. This position provides both supervisory and instructional leadership, supporting students, staff, and families to promote academic success, behavioral growth, and social-emotional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Education required Master's Degree in Educational Administration or related field required Valid Ohio Teaching License (Intervention Specialist or equivalent) required Principal Licensure required/preferred Minimum of three (3) years of special education teaching experience preferred Experience working with at-risk, vulnerable, and/or traumatized youth Strong knowledge of IEPs, ETRs, FBAs, BIPs, and progress reporting Experience with PBIS framework and behavioral interventions Demonstrated leadership experience Knowledge of school law and special education compliance OTES 2.0 or willingness to obtain CPI Certification or willingness to obtain and maintain Willingness to obtain ALICE/Active Threat training certification Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to train and support staff in instructional and behavioral practices Ability to build rapport with diverse students, families, and agencies Skilled in data collection and use for accountability and program improvement Proficient with technology and documentation systems Demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and confidentiality Excellent attendance record
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Works directly with students, parents/guardians, staff, home school districts, and community agencies to identify and reduce barriers to student success. Supports the development and implementation of attendance plans, behavioral intervention plans, and individualized supports. Promotes a safe, structured, and positive learning environment while fostering student engagement and connection to the school community. Evaluates specific staff as assigned by Director Provides leadership to program staff by assisting with training, coaching, evaluation, and implementation of best practices in special education, PBIS, trauma-informed care, and crisis prevention. Participates in IEP meetings, enrollment processes, and program coordination activities. Assists with safety planning, state testing coordination, and daily program operations. May substitute in classrooms as needed and support instructional delivery. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures related to special education and program operation Implements and enforces student discipline in alignment with ESC Board Policy/LC Protocols Conducts investigations of student misconduct and determines appropriate consequences Endures all disciplinary actions meet procedural due process requirements Utilize restorative practices and alternatives to exclusionary discipline when appropriate Oversees student supervision through the day, responds to and manages student crises Supports implementation of safety protocols and ensures compliance with Ohio safe school guidelines Collaborate with staff to implement PBIS and behavior intervention plans to support students with behavioral and mental health needs and assist in manifestation determination processes Serve as a primary point of contact for families regarding discipline and attendance, facilitate conferences and IEP meetings, and have knowledge of local resources for families when needs arise Communicate regularly with district representatives Assist the program director with Daily operations and support the implementation of separate facility programing Collaborate with staff to maintain a structured environment Questions about this position?
