Position Summary The Tribal Youth Program Coordinator & Tribal Liaison is responsible for the overall implementation, coordination, and success of the Tribal Youth and Family Strengthening Program, provided by Title II SAG funding. This position provides leadership in program development, oversees service delivery, ensures compliance with grant requirements, and serves as the primary liaison between Youth and Family Resource Center (YFRC), Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and other tribal and community partners. This role ensures services are culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and aligned with the needs of tribal youth and families, while also managing program outcomes, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Implementation Lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing coordination of the Tribal Youth and Family Strengthening Program Ensure program activities align with grant goals, objectives, and deliverables Develop and maintain program schedules, service plans, and implementation timelines Monitor program performance and adjust improve outcomes Tribal Liaison & Community Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact between YFRC and Citizen Potawatomi Nation and other tribal partners Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with tribal leaders, programs, and community stakeholders Ensure program services are culturally responsive and appropriate Coordinate or facilitate culturally relevant training and guidance for staff Support collaboration between tribal partners, schools, and YFRC Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Development & Management Establish and facilitate a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Recruit youth participants and ensure diverse representation Organize and lead YAC meetings Gather and incorporate youth feedback into program design and improvement Ensure youth voice is reflected in program evaluation and future planning Grant Management & Compliance Oversee compliance with all grant requirements, including: Data collection and reporting Performance measures Deliverables and timelines Prepare and submit required reports in coordination with leadership and finance staff Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to funding guidelines Participate in audits, monitoring, and evaluation processes Program Oversight & Staff Support Provide guidance and coordination for staff delivering direct services Support implementation of evidence-based and promising practices Ensure services are trauma-informed and family-centered Facilitate regular team meetings and case coordination Partnership Development & Coordination Strengthen partnerships with: Schools Tribal and community service providers Juvenile justice and child welfare partners Coordinate referrals and service integration across systems Data, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Monitor program data, including: Youth participation Outcome measures Service utilization Conduct regular reviews of program effectiveness Utilize data and YAC feedback to improve program delivery Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public health, or related field Experience in program coordination, grant management, or community-based services Experience working with youth and families, particularly in behavioral health or prevention settings Experience working with tribal communities or demonstrated commitment to cultural competency Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and program management skills Ability to build and maintain community and tribal partnerships Knowledge of trauma-informed care and youth development principles Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with data tracking, reporting, and compliance requirements Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel within Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings Successful completion of background checks Work Environment This position operates across multiple settings, including schools, tribal/community locations, YFRC offices, and occasional home-based settings. The role requires flexibility, independence, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
