GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Housing Referral Coordinator position will serve as a central point of coordination between internal programs and external partners to support client referrals, maintaining communication with agency programs to track availability and openings and sharing that information with referring agencies. It will review incoming referrals, client files, and documentation to determine eligibility, ensure accuracy, and help connect clients to appropriate programs, while also supporting the tracking and organization of referral activity, maintaining program records, and assisting with presentations and coordination efforts across teams and partners. This role will ensure referrals are processed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with program requirements while maintaining clear communication across all parties involved.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Two years of related social service experience. One year working with contracts. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver qualifications are required for this position. Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required. Basic Life Support/First Aid Certification is required within first 30 days of hire. Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment. Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring reliable record-keeping and data integrity. Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally, with the ability to present information clearly and support trainings or group discussions. Collaborates cross-functionally to coordinate efforts across teams and programs, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of initiatives. Applies strong problem-solving skills to work independently, while leveraging proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems to support efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates communication between internal programs and external partners Monitors program activity and supports the referral process Reviews referrals, client files, and documentation for general completeness Maintains and shares updates on program availability and openings Maintains organized records and assists with tracking program information Supports coordination efforts across teams and partners Assists with presentations, trainings, and general program support as needed Helps ensure processes are followed and support overall program operations Maintains full compliance with all federal, state, and grant program and funding requirements, setting high standards for data quality and compliance performance, remaining in compliance with the regulations of all funding streams . Works cooperatively with other ARCHES Project programming to ensure quality and timely client service delivery. Complies with agency Quarterly and Annual reports. Complies with all Agency policies, including finance and safety and health policies. Attend and engage in required annual trainings. Other Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance are essential requirements for this role. Ability to work effectively and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members and clients. Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory duties in this position.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Maintains calm disposition when clients or others may become escalated. Regulates emotions and handles pressures of frequent demands for attention, time, and work tasks. Regulates emotions during interactions with escalated clients and staff. Ability to move about the workspace. Ability to reach and/or extend to access materials or equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works indoor and outdoor in cold weather, heat and other extreme climate events. Close quarters, often with a public client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior.
