SUMMARY :
The
HOPE ASPIRES
Program Coordinator will lead the implementation and daily operations of a collaborative youth development initiative serving public housing communities in Erie. The program is designed to expand positive youth engagement opportunities through mentorship, academic support, recreation, leadership development, and family resource coordination. The Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison among partnering organizations and families to ensure successful program delivery and participant outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Work with the Deputy Director, Resident Initiatives Coordinator and COPPS Team to create and deliver the program. 2. Coordinate program logistics with the supervisor of the Quebec Unit. 3. Develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and service providers. 4. Assist with recruitment and enrollment of youth participants. 5. Coordinate transportation for the youth with EMTA. 6. Coordinate gym rental with the Eagle's Nest. 7. Coordinate volunteers and partner participation. 8. Maintain participant records and attendance data. 9. Track and report program outcomes and performance metrics. 10. Monitor student performance. 11. Support conflict resolution and behavioral interventions when needed. 12. Communicate opportunities to parents. 13. Connect families to services and resources. 14. Schedule and attend all

activities. 15. Log and track Police OT hours. 16. Purchase program supplies. 17. Assist with grant reporting and program documentation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Bachelor's degree in social work, education, criminal justice, human services, public administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered. A minimum of 3 years of experience in youth programming, community outreach, case management, education, recreation programming or nonprofit program coordination preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: Able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff. Able to interact with people from a broad range of social and economic backgrounds while maintaining a professional manner. Must possess and maintain a current, valid PA Driver's license and be willing to use personal vehicle if HACE vehicle is not available. Must be able to work evenings as required for HACE special events. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Internet usage. Proven ability to meet programmatic deadlines with accuracy. Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills required. Able to read, understand, follow detailed instructions and work in accordance to prescribed standards and procedures. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required child welfare clearances, including: a) PA Child Abuse Clearance b) PA State Police Criminal History Clearance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position of this class. Must be physically able to access all units, common areas, and grounds. Must be able to work while standing or walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to use stairs, stoop, and crouch. Must be able to work in hot, cold, damp or dusty areas. Must have a level of manual dexterity sufficient to allow for operation of personal computer, telephone, fax machines, calculator, etc. Ability to move, handle or lift small objects around desk area, i.e. files, computer printouts, reports, calculator, office supplies, etc.
