Full Job Description Position:
Full-time, Non-Exempt This year-round position is responsible for the overall implementation of the IJDPP service description, including monitoring and intervening with student behaviors, developing behavioral intervention plans, regular and open communication with families, and follow-through with the policies outlined in the Student Discipline Handbook, and supporting the school vision, mission, and values. Requirements include, but are not limited to: Bachelor's degree in the Human Service field is preferred. Guidance Certification is preferred. Certified in Life Space Crisis Intervention within the 1st year. Genuine desire to provide support to students as they work towards their goal of successful completion of the program. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group counseling in the areas of anger control, social skills building and moral reasoning. Strong writing and reporting skills Proven ability to deescalate students and redirect them to appropriate classroom behavior. Demonstrated ability to provide documentation of classroom events to the standards set by the Charter School of Excellence. The applicant must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical. A valid Pennsylvania Driver's License is required. PDE FBI Fingerprints, PA Childline, and PA Criminal clearance are required. Charter School of Excellence is an EOE.
