Position Summary The Program Management Team Leader is responsible for leading, developing, and enabling a team of Program Managers and Coordinators who own customer-facing delivery of high-speed cable and connector programs. This role ensures consistent execution, quality, and discipline across all programs while preserving clear ownership at the Program Manager level. The Team Leader focuses on coaching, prioritization, escalation management, and process alignment, allowing Program Managers to concentrate on customer engagement and program success. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Directly manage and mentor a team of Program Managers and Coordinators, providing coaching on customer engagement, risk management, escalation, and prioritization. Set clear expectations for role boundaries, ownership, and decision-making authority. Support onboarding, performance feedback, and career development for Program Managers and Coordinators. Identify skill gaps and drive targeted development plans. Program Execution Oversight Provide oversight across active programs to ensure: Schedules are realistic and maintained Risks are identified early and escalated appropriately Customer commitments are aligned with execution reality Act as the first escalation point for Program Managers on: Cross-program conflicts Resource constraints Execution risk Customer pressure situations Escalation & Decision Support Help Program Managers and Coordinators frame escalation topics clearly with data, options, and recommended paths forward. Support Director-level and executive escalations with concise, decision-ready summaries. Ensure escalations flow through the organization consistently and predictably. Cross-Functional & PMO Alignment Ensure alignment between Program Managers and Coordinators. Reinforce standard PMO practices (cadence, reporting, phase-gate discipline) without over-burdening teams. Identify systemic issues (process gaps, recurring risks, overload patterns) and propose improvements. Capacity & Workload Management Balance workload across the Program Management team based on: Program complexity Customer intensity Phase of development Recommend staffing adjustments (additional PMs or Coordinators) based on data and trend analysis.
