Program Specialist 2
Location:
625 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120 Mode of Hire•Contract M-F 8:00-4:00, 30-minute meal period Part time position 20-25 hours per week Novice Level•Resource has gained experience through classroom and/or experimental scenarios or as a trainee on-the-job. Assistance/oversight is needed to carry-out the duties of the position. Typically would have zero to one-year of experience if the Minimum Qualifications ò BachelorÆs degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field. ò One (1) year of professional experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating programs in human services, sociology, public health, health care services, or health care insurance; or ò Any equivalent combination of education and experience that includes at least one (1) year of relevant professional experience in these fields. ò Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Role Description The Program Specialist provides administrative and technical support for autism service programs, ensuring effective program operations and compliance with established policies and procedures. The role involves coordination across internal departments, external agencies, and program participants, as well as maintaining information systems and supporting data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities ò Respond to inquiries (verbal and written) from internal departments, external agencies, and families/applicants. ò Coordinate the development and maintenance of information technology systems to support program operations and tracking processes. ò Review and recommend updates to program manuals, forms, and materials based on policy or procedural revisions. ò Collect, analyze, and compile data for use in preparing program and compliance reports. ò Support provider management activities, including recruitment, enrollment, disenrollment, and outreach. ò Participate in incident review processes, including closing incidents, compiling reports, and assisting in investigations. ò Assist in fair hearing preparation and related documentation. ò Attend trainings, meetings, and conferences on behalf of the Bureau, as assigned. ò Track and review information, preparing reports for supervisors, CMS, and other agencies as needed. ò Use HCSIS and CIS systems for data entry, screening, and information research. ò Assist in monitoring services provided to participants in autism programs to ensure quality and compliance. ò Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
PA residency required. Ability to manage lark workload with multiple responsibilities. Experience analyzing data and identifying trends.
