Qualifications:
Required:
Valid Home School and Visitor Certification OR law enforcement background
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field and two years of attendance, absenteeism prevention, and/or truancy experience.
Position Available:
2026-2027 school year
Additional Information:
Part-time, 10-month (school term) flexible hours The Attendance/Truancy Officer ensures that school-age children attend school regularly by investigating the causes of unexcused and/or excessive absences and assisting families in identifying and removing barriers to consistent attendance. The Attendance/Truancy Officer will also address residency concerns, represent the school in court, and make referrals to Children and Youth Services when appropriate.
