The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is seeking an energetic, caring, and mission-driven Program Coordinator to lead our Before and After School Program at Montour Elementary School. As a member of our Youth Development team, you will help create engaging experiences that support children's social, emotional, and academic growth while providing a valuable service to working families. You will coordinate daily programming, support staff, and ensure a positive experience for children and families. This full-time position works closely with a Program Director and leads the day-to-day operation of our program at Montour Elementary School from 6:45-8:45 AM and 2:30-6:00 PM each school day . The Program Coordinator plays an important role in implementing curriculum, maintaining licensing and quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service to families and school partners. During the summer months, you will serve as an Assistant Director at one of our Summer Day Camp locations, helping to create memorable experiences filled with adventure, friendship, and personal growth for campers and staff alike. Essential Functions:
Maintain compliance with all Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements, Keystone STARS Quality Standards and safety standards, including staff to child ratios, at all times. Assist in the recruiting, screening, training, supervising, observations and evaluating performance of all teachers.

Maintain and monitor compliance with the staff training requirements as set by the DHS, Keystone STARS Quality Initiative, and the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. Maintain complete and current records for children and staff as needed to assist the Youth Develop and maintain strong parent and volunteer relationships to support the everyday operations, special activities, and quality improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications A passionate leader with at least 2 years of experience in youth programs and 1+ year of staff supervision. An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field. A relationship-builder who connects easily with families, school personnel, and community partners. Organized, energetic, and flexible - ready to take initiative and problem-solve in real time. Reliable transportation Required clearances:
Act 33, 34, 151 & NSOR Mandated Reporter Certification (within 45 days - paid training) Completion of health/TB screening and 10 hours of DHS training within 30 days (paid) CPR and Pediatric First Aid within 90 days (paid) Work Environment & Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can occasionally be loud. The work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may require travel to various locations.
