SUMMARY:
The Philadelphia Virtual Academy (PVA) Student Coordinator supports students, families, and staff by assisting with student onboarding, orientations, re-engagement efforts, and daily operations at assigned PVA locations. The Student Coordinator helps facilitate in-person student events, monitors the Drop-In Center, maintains student support data, and provides clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the program. This position is supervised and evaluated by the assigned Student Support Liaison.

$19.40 per hour
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
Student and Program Support Assist PVA administrators, teachers, and staff with student support initiatives and program operations. Prepare orientation materials, student data, reports, and related documentation. Conduct weekly orientations for newly enrolled students and families. Assemble, configure, maintain, and distribute student technology and equipment. Identify disengaged students and assist with outreach, re-engagement meetings, and follow-up activities. Monitor and support operations within the PVA Drop-In Center. Perform other duties as assigned. Student and Family Engagement Support individual students and small groups during orientation and re-engagement activities. Schedule and assist with student and parent/guardian orientations. Provide supervision and support for students during orientations, Drop-In Center hours, and other approved activities, consistent with program guidelines. Clerical and Administrative Support Maintain accurate records related to orientations, student engagement, attendance, and re-engagement efforts. Collect, organize, and report student data as assigned by the Student Support Liaison. Perform data entry, filing, record maintenance, and other clerical duties that support program operations. Assist with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and program documentation. Support office operations and special Requirements

Knowledge of web-based programs and apps Excellent customer service skills Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Ability to adapt to organizational, system and developmental changes with assistance from supervisor and/or colleagues
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred Experience performing clerical, administrative, or customer service duties is preferred Philadelphia residency is preferred due to the school-based nature of the position
