Job Description

Behavioral Support Specialist Join Our Team and Help Individuals Thrive! At Thrive CSS, we believe that every person deserves opportunities to grow, connect, and thrive in their community. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives. Our hybrid role offers a combination of remote and in-person work, allowing you to balance flexibility with collaboration and connection. About the
Role:
As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will: Develop individualized, person-centered Behavior Support Plans Conduct assessments and identify strategies to address challenging behaviors Work directly with individuals, families, DSP's, and support teams Collaborate with Support Coordinators, schools, providers, and interdisciplinary team members Provide coaching, training, and ongoing guidance to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and caregivers Support the development of emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, independence, and community participation Ensure services align with Pennsylvania ODP regulations, best practices, and person-centered outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and timely service records
What We're Looking For:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related Human Services field Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Knowledge of Pennsylvania ODP systems, waivers, and service delivery (preferred) Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a collaborative team
