Job Overview
The CTAE Student Summer Support employee will assist the CTAE team with a variety of administrative, marketing, and event-related tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in social media management, event marketing, and office operations within a professional educational environment.
Student Summer Support employees will develop workplace readiness skills while gaining exposure to program coordination, communications, and business engagement practices.
Roles and Responsibilities

Administrative Support
Assist with organizing materials, data entry, and managing communications.
Support preparation of materials for meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Participate in calls with business partners to learn about onboarding processes.
Marketing & Communications
Create flyers and promotional materials for CTAE programs.
Provide input and recommendations for CTAE website and communications.
Develop engaging content for social media (LinkedIn) and support engagement strategies.
Capture photos and videos to document office activities and events.
Event & Program Support
Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings and presentations.
Support attendee check-in and distribution of materials.
Assist with event planning and coordination.
Take meeting notes and summarize key discussion points.
Technology & Digital Projects
Organize digital files and assist with document scanning.
Create presentations using Canva and/or Google Slides.
Provide basic troubleshooting support for minor technology issues.
Professional Development & Learning
Contribute ideas to increase student engagement in programs and events.
Participate in team meetings and professional learning opportunities.
Shadow staff to explore different career paths.
Attend staff meetings to observe decision-making processes.
Receive mentorship and career guidance from education professionals.
Reflect on the experience through journaling or a final presentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
Must be a current LCPS rising junior or senior. Interest in education, marketing, event planning, or business administration.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Reports to: Coordinator, Work Based Learning
