Job Description
This is a professional position responsible for the management of the pre-service caregiver training program, initial licensing and re-licensing of foster homes (level 2-5) in Circuit 10; including supervision of licensing and administrative support staff. Responsible for full oversight of all licensing functions to include; planning and implementing various tracking systems to record unit specific data: monitoring foster homes through risk review process; facilitation of partnership meetings with foster families to build skills and to address Performance Developments Plans (PDP); coordinating and participation in on site DCF licensing quality reviews; networking and supporting the local Caregiver Association, local Caregiver Advisory Committee, Recruitment/Retention activities, and other duties as requested by the Chief Operations Officer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC customers
Ensure participation in DCF, CBC or CMO MDT Staffings
Manage program leadership to ensure all Re-licensing duties have timely submissions
Ensure homes on waiver status are tracked and managed
Review and submit weekly and monthly licensing reporting
Utilize Licensing data to identify Licensing trends, patterns and develop improvements in licensed care
Ensure yearly licensing goals are being met regarding newly licensed and closed homes
Conduct partnership and support meetings with foster caregivers, if applicable
Complete documentation as required within the specified time frames
Cooperate and assist in the investigation of allegations of abuse and neglect involving Foster Homes
Arrange and participate in retention and recruitment activities for foster homes
Monitor to ensure quality visits to foster homes are occurring according to licensing requirements
Completes special projects as assigned within time frames
Assist in the development and monitoring of tracking systems and databases
Assess and provides analysis of licensing processes and practices
Development and support of ongoing foster caregiver mentoring program/HUB homes
Supervise Licensing management to ensure all Licensing staff are supported
Perform special projects as assigned Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Relations, Marketing, Education, Training or related field required.
Requires a minimum of three to five of professional experience in the related field. Experience in child welfare or child abuse prevention preferred.
Pay:
$68,000.00 per year
