Role:
We're looking for a Director, Program Management on the Program Management team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious and rare diseases. Reporting to the Executive Director, Research & Respiratory Disease Program Management, you'll serve as a trusted strategic advisor and operational backbone of the Global Program Team (GPT), enabling the Global Program Head (GPH) to lead with strategic focus while ensuring disciplined, integrated execution across the full program lifecycle - from development through regulatory submission, manufacturing, and commercial launch.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to serve as a trusted strategic advisor and operational proxy to the Global Program Head, proactively steering the GPT toward the most critical and relevant decisions. This role is central to Insmed's Program-First operating model, where the Director, Program Management acts as the operational engine of the GPT, driving cross-functional alignment, program governance, and execution rigor across all functions and geographies. You'll also: Support the GPH in defining and executing integrated Program strategy, ensuring alignment between GPT priorities, functional plans, and corporate/portfolio objectives Facilitate GPT meetings and ongoing team effectiveness, including working norms, decision rights, cadence, and communication pathways Define and manage critical path activities, integrated timelines, resource plans, and program budgets across all functions Lead the development and maintenance of key program documentation including Target Product Profiles (TPPs), Integrated Development Plans (IDPs), and Integrated Evidence Plans (IEPs), dashboards, and risk assessments Oversee Life Cycle Management (LCM) activities and Health Authority submissions (IND, NDA, JNDA, MAA, BLA) in coordination with Regulatory Affairs Maintain decision logs, risk registers, and version-controlled program records, ensuring visibility of key metrics and outcomes across the GPT Assist in drafting and co-creating Executive Committee (EC) materials and facilitating key program governance meetings Act as the primary connector across GPT core, extended, and sub-teams, ensuring timely and accurate information flow and alignment Partner with the PM team and global organization to design new processes and supporting business structures, recommending solutions that drive process standardization and simplification Challenge the organization to be innovative, make it safe to try new approaches, and take prudent risks; coach teams to learn from setbacks and drive continuous improvement
Who You Are:
You have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific, medical, or business discipline along with 12+ years of progressive Program/Project Management experience in a biotech or biopharmaceutical environment, with demonstrated leadership in a global, matrix organization. You are or you also have: Proven track record of leading drug programs from early development through commercialization, including regulatory submissions (NDA, BLA, MAA, IND) and product launches Experience working within or alongside Global Program Teams (GPTs) or equivalent cross-functional program structures in a Program-First or matrix operating model Demonstrated experience managing Life Cycle Management (LCM) activities and Health Authority interactions Background in rare disease, respiratory, or specialty therapeutics preferred, consistent with Insmed's pipeline focus Experience with commercial launch preparation and cross-functional readiness planning is a strong plus Proficiency in program management tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Veeva, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a results-oriented work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude in fast-paced, high-stakes environments Nice to have (but not required): Advanced degree strongly preferred: Ph.D., Pharm.

D., M.D., or MBA - consistent with Director-level expectations in biotech/pharma Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus; other relevant certifications also valued Where You'll Work This is a hybrid role based out of our Bridgewater, NJ office. You'll have the option to work remotely most of the time, with in-person collaboration when it matters most. Pay Range:
