Serving as a community quarterback, Lift Orlando brings together residents, business leaders, and community partners around a shared vision for neighborhood revitalization and long-term opportunity. The Economic Viability Program Specialist supports the Director of Economic Viability and leads the delivery of data-driven workforce services to achieve strong employment outcomes. It partners with employers and training providers to align programs with labor market needs while overseeing participant coaching, career pathway development, and supportive services. The position is responsible for performance tracking, compliance, and CRM management (e.g., Salesforce), driving continuous improvement, and employer engagement through a results-oriented approach.
Essential Job Requirements:
Collaborate with training partners to update curriculum based on employer feedback and labor market trends. Promote awareness of WorkForward programs and opportunities within the community. identify, develop, and maintain relationships with employer partners. Support grant compliance through accurate reporting, documentation, and data tracking of employer and participant outcomes. Provide individualized and group coaching to participants, helping them overcome barriers to employment and achieve workplace success. Identify participants' strengths and advise them on how to use those strengths to secure employment. Conduct participant assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and career goals; develop individualized service or career plans. Assist participants with resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Assist with identifying community providers to assist with resources for participants Guide participants in identifying suitable career pathways aligned with their skills, interests, and experience. Coordinate supportive services that will assist the participant with ongoing attendance and participation in program activities, assessing needs through case management principles, and making referrals to community resources as appropriate. Deliver ongoing coaching during training, job placement, and post-employment phases, including retention follow-up for up to two years. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation to track participant progress and ensure compliance. Facilitate workshops and encourage consistent participation in program activities. Collaborate with program staff to support participant intake, assessments, and successful program placement and participate in Panel interviews Utilize CRM systems to track participant data, outcomes, and service delivery. Analyze labor market data to inform program design and job placement strategies. Offer assistance and support for basic to moderate caseloads by assessing needs through case management principles in both group and individual settings. Holding Case Conferences for each cohort. Provide incremental retention follow-up for up to two years on all participants who completed training.Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, Non-Profit or a similar discipline) preferred.Experience:
One to two years of Case management, Job Development, or related experience in nonprofit.Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of comfort with and incorporating data reports into service delivery. Accepts and delivers constructive criticism in pursuit of improved performance. Attention to detail and follow-through. Comfort in diverse business, corporate and community settings. High energy and motivation to help people succeed. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in public speaking, volunteer management and/ or curriculum development preferred Strong orientation toward listening to and working with the local community. Self-starter, organized in his/her work, and produces a high-quality product with minimal supervision. Positive outlook on the changing landscape of workforce development.Demonstrated Knowledge:
Proven experience with workforce development program planning and coordination. Proven experience managing several competing obligations and deadlines. Proven experience working with diverse populations. Experience in public speaking, volunteer management and/or curriculum development preferred. Experience working with human service agencies, education institutions, and workforce development. Proficient in entering data into cloud-based CRM platforms such as Salesforce, or other comparable platforms.
