Educational Justice is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending educational inequity by pairing 5th-8th grade students with high-achieving high school peers for long-term one-on-one tutoring and mentorship. Our mission is to improve academic performance and social development among underprivileged students. Currently, we serve the Louisville KY Metropolitan Area, as well as limited locations in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. We aim to expand our mission to other areas across the United States. Educational Justice is seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee our Program Assistants and support the effective delivery of our educational programs. This full-time hybrid role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community.

Hybrid (Primarily Remote, Occasional In-Office Days), focus on Bullitt, Nelson, Shelby, Nelson, Hardin, & Clark counties
Salary:
$47,000/year with
Benefits Schedule:
Flexible 40 hours/week, weekends and evenings often required Key Responsibilities Building and maintaining relationships on behalf of EJ with new schools and community organizations in Bullitt, Nelson, Shelby, Nelson, Hardin, & Clark counties. Supervise and support Program Assistants (PAs) with any expansion projects Help develop procedures and tools to support PA workflows for expansion Assist with coordinating the interview process of new Mentors in new counties Coordinating multiple EJ Classrooms in the various counties, our major recruitment program for Scholars (5th-8th grade students) in which we work alongside teachers to recruit 75% of their students for the program Coordinating EJ Volunteers to assist with expansion and events Assist with creation and coordination of EJ Mentor Clubs, our high school student initiative for both recruitment and high schooler/Mentor engagement Facilitate communication between PAs, staff, and leadership Plan and manage EJ recruitment events/activities and track attendance in the chosen counties Represent EJ at public and community events in cities in the chosen counties Purchase supplies and materials for recruitment operations Fill in for general PA tasks when needed Report directly to the Senior Manager of Recruitment Qualifications Bachelor degree in Education, Social Sciences, Non-profit Management, or related field is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Previous experience in an administrative or outreach role is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people. Strong leadership and coordination experience, ideally in a nonprofit or education-related setting Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfort with hybrid and flexible work schedules Ability to travel across the state for work, mileage will be reimbursed Experience supervising or coaching staff or volunteers Familiarity with digital communication tools and data tracking is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or multilingual abilities are preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Experience working with youth and families, especially in community or educational settings. Comfortable using or learning task management software such as Monday.com. Reliable, punctual, and professional.
