Educational Justice is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending educational inequity by pairing 5th-8th grade students with high-achieving high school peers for long-term one-on-one tutoring and mentorship. Our mission is to improve academic performance and social development among low-to-moderate income students. Educational Justice is seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee our Program Assistants and support the effective delivery of our educational programs. This full-time hybrid role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community.
Full time hours. Set hours from 4-8 pm on weekdays, with occasional 2-5pm weekend hours, 20 hours flex throughout the week Report to: Director of Program Implementation Expected start date: July 1, 2026 Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Program Assistants (PAs) across all functional areas. Allocate and adjust caseloads based on program needs. Serve as the main point of contact for PAs, especially during evening hours. Monitor PA performance and ensure quality service delivery. Facilitate communication between PAs, staff, and leadership. Track PA tasks, hours, and program progress; report to the Program Director. Plan and manage EJ events and track attendance. Represent EJ at public and community events as needed. Help develop procedures and tools to support PA workflows. Purchase supplies and materials for program operations. Research platforms and tools to enhance program delivery. Oversee in-person labs and support multilingual family engagement. Fill in for general PA tasks when needed. Proved regular reports to Director of Program Implementation Other Duties as Assigned Qualifications Bachelor degree in Education, Social Sciences, Non-profit Management, or related field is preferred or 5 years+ work in high engagement customer relations in an online or call center environment Experience working with underserved populations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Previous experience in an administrative or program support role is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and communicate with diverse groups of people. Strong leadership and coordination experience, ideally in a nonprofit or education-related setting Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfort with hybrid and flexible work schedules Experience working from home/ working autonomously Experience supervising or coaching staff or volunteers Familiarity with digital communication tools and data tracking is a plus Reliable transportation to workplace and events Preferred Qualifications Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, specifically with virtual/telephone calls.
Experience working with youth and families, especially in community or educational settings. Comfortable using or learning educational software platforms (IXL, TalentLMS), CRM and Data Management platforms (Hubspot, Airtable). Experience in graphic design, web design and public information is a plus. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or multilingual abilities are desired.
