(TEL) delivers environmental engineering, investigation, consulting, and remediation services to government agencies and private clients in the areas of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and Emerging Contaminants remediation, and Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) and Environmental Compliance support. Tanaq is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Alaskan native community and shareholders. About the Role We are seeking an Environmental Program Manager (HTRW) to independently manage the execution of our HTRW program and support our ongoing contracts with government and private clients. This includes remediation and investigation work conducted by Tanaq Environmental, LLC (TEL) for US government clients nationwide. This position reports to the General Manager and is a senior leader in the company. This is a remote position based in the United States that requires an estimated 25% annual travel within the U.S. Responsibilities Lives by and supports the Tanaq Core Values of Purpose-driven environmental work, Safety, Engaging Culture, Trust and Respect, Transparency, and Agility. Responsible for successful oversight of all elements of multiple contract scopes of work (SOWs), including development of and adherence to project schedules and budgets. Supervises a team of TEL project managers and technical staff to develop technical approaches and cost proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs), supports management team throughout negotiations of new contracts and/or task orders, and leads teams of project professionals, technicians, and support staff throughout the execution of contracts. Scopes generally include, but not limited to, planning document preparations, field investigations, remediation efforts, data analysis and evaluation, remedial action planning, system design (as appropriate), long-term monitoring (LTM) and/or long-term operations (LTO) and maintenance, and final reporting. Serves as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned government client(s) and ensures all client expectations are met or exceeded. Identifies work requests or requirements that are outside the contract, and immediately communicates out-of-scope items to the client and to the General Manager. Coordinates with corporate and project-level safety and quality management staff to ensure all contracts are conducted in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards. Identifies safety and quality issues regarding contract execution and, when necessary, develops and implements corrective actions. In coordination with the General Manager, conduct monthly program/project budget reviews to monitor financial health, verify expenditures, perform what-if analysis, and ensure company-wide financial goals are met. As a critical part of the Tanaq Environmental leadership team, reports directly to the general manager and, with the other program managers, takes a broader look at the entire business line to assist in developing budgets, strategic goals, and long-term growth strategies.
