The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking individuals with data governance and systems integration expertise to apply for the Integrated Data & Governance Officer position. Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages strategic processes for data governance; develops and leads a centralized data governance structure for Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) to support data-driven decisions; provides support and direction for research and evaluation activities conducted throughout the organization. Required Education and Experience Education:
A bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences, data science, business administration, public administration or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this class from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience:
Five years of experience developing, managing, and implementing policies, standards, and procedures related to data governance, data strategy, or data integration. At least three of the required years must involve managing or directing education initiatives, accountability systems, program evaluation, or research projects.
Additional Requirements:
A master's degree in social or behavior sciences, data science, business, administration, public administration, or other closely related field is preferred. A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Hybrid remote schedules may be available.
