JOB DESCRIPTION
We are a nonprofit focused on restoration and community partnerships seeking a Monitoring Program Coordinator (MPC). This 0.85 FTE, non-exempt role manages monitoring and watershed assessment projects, supports strategic goals, supervises Monitoring Staff, and collaborates with partners. Reports to the Executive Director.
JOB DUTIES
' Implement tide gate and fish passage monitoring, including juvenile coho and water quality sampling and PIT antenna work. ' Manage, analyze, and report monitoring data for agencies, partners, and the public. ' Lead Beaver Hill Wetland monitoring, including PIT antenna installation and biological/water monitoring tasks. ' Oversee basin assessments (GRAIP road surveys, Aquatic Habitat Inventory, water quality). ' Coordinate basin-wide and long-term temperature monitoring and statewide 6PPD-q monitoring. ' Develop and manage project work plans, timelines, budgets, contracting, permitting, and deliverables. ' Coordinate with landowners, technical specialists, subcontractors, volunteers, and agencies. ' Provide presentations and represent CoqWA with partners and community members. ' Develop new monitoring projects, write grants, prepare proposals, and complete grant reports. ' Supervise Monitoring Staff.
REQUIREMENTS
' Master's degree in a related natural resources field or equivalent combination of education/experience. ' Five years' experience in natural resources research, surveying, conservation planning, or project management; fisheries preferred. ' Experience with field research, equipment troubleshooting, and work in agricultural settings preferred. ' Strong written and verbal communication skills. ' Proven experience writing grants, scientific reports, and materials for general audiences. ' Project management experience including budgeting, contracts, planning, and reporting. ' Knowledge of regional conservation issues and natural resource agencies. ' Working knowledge of ArcGIS, GPS, Microsoft Office, and data analysis software (R, Python, or MATLAB). ' Valid driver's license; travel required.

(PREFERENCES) ' Comfortable with strenuous outdoor activity in varied weather and terrain. ' Comfortable navigating regulatory issues and working with diverse stakeholders. ' Willing to work independently and collaboratively, with occasional evenings/weekends. ' Willing to troubleshoot equipment and learn new technical skills. ' Willing to build diplomatic relationships with landowners, agencies, and community groups.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION
' Starting wage: $33'$37/hr DOE. ' 0.85 FTE (34 hr/week), non-exempt. '
